Participating in the LWVUS Program Planning process every two years supports our League's mission as a grassroots, nonpartisan, political organization. It gives us the opportunity to assess the pros and cons of a variety of issues for study and to forward recommendations regarding these issues to the LWVUS. These are the national public policy positions that were adopted by the national LWV (not our local League) for 2006-2008.

This year we will discuss the public policy positions developed by the national League for 2006-2008 at our Chinese Dinner meeting on January 22, 2008. Our recommendations must be submitted to the national LWVUS by March 1, 2008.
